Background
The MSAP (Minnesota State Association of Parliamentarians) is the state division of the NAP (National Association of Parliamentarians).
We serve to provide professional and educational support to those seeking to become more familiar with Robert's Rules of Order. Our goal is to serve our members and the public in the interest of making all meetings more efficient and more fair. We study and practice Roberts Rules of Order towards bringing order, fairness, and civility to organizations. We promote the study of parliamentary procedure and the educational programs of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP). Our members encourage others to learn and develop experience in the use of parliamentary techniques. A primary way to become acquainted with and understand how to implement efficient organizational meeting procedures is to attend one of the unit meetings! GATHERINGS The state organization has quarterly board meetings and an annual state-wide meeting. We support the learning units that meet most months with the goal of education and growth. |
